In this set of materials, the reading passage introduces about "The Principes of Scientific Management", and the listening passage casts doubt on this idea.
"The Principle of Scientific Management" was wrote by Fredenick Winslow Taylor, which is about a leading propohent of the scientific management in the early twentieth century. The results of extensive time and motion studies could be used by scientific managers in order to make the factories more benefits.
According to listening passage, it challanges this opinion. In twentieth century, many managers spent time for study about time and emotion for thier productivity. Fredenick Winslow told that the job of lower skilled workers could be reorganized; moreover, higher- skilled and more highly paid worked could be replaced with lower- skilled and lower paid worked. On the other hand, listening passage mentions its problems. lower skill workers couldn't work like a machine, and their process is not efficient. higher skill workers also had problems which can make spoil their productivity, even though they had small tasks, they could got a good salaies. Overall, higher skill and low price workers can help factories's efficient and benefits.

In this set of material, the reading passage introduces a principle, which is adjusted for the scientific management movement in the early twentith century. In contrast, the listening passage casts doubt cast on it.
According to the reading passage, Frederic winslow, who led this movement has a principle applying to improve the working environment and the efficient management in factories; for instance, the principle said that lower-skilled worker could be able to instructed in the most efficient way by learning how to move, stand in their working place.
On the other hand, the listening passage casts doubt on this principle ,which didn't properly enhance their working situation as well as they expected it would be done.
Consquently, it turned out to give them less efficient, lower profit.
